![]() The 10th Annual Barn Tour, sponsored by Saucon Valley Conservancy, introduced a record number of attendees to eight historic barns or agricultural structures in the region. We exceeded our attendance records by almost 40%! The weather was cool and sunny–it was a perfect day for a drive through the Lower Saucon countryside. Thank you to the folks who purchased those tickets and helped to support preservation of the Heller Barn ruins. A big thank you also goes out to the three founders of the barn tour, who were recognized formally in a presentation at the Barn Tour Dinner on September 8. SVC’s President, David Hausman, and Lower Saucon Township Manager Leslie Huhn presented acknowledgment awards to Priscilla deLeon, Greg Huber, and Bob “Barn” Ensminger–the people who first made the Barn Tour a reality. Finally, SVC sends heartfelt thanks to the people “behind the scenes” of the Barn Tour: our members and volunteers who organized, publicized, and acted as docents for this year’s extremely successful event. It could not have happened without you! If you would like to become a member of the Saucon Valley Conservancy, or are interested in volunteering–or if you want to be sure you never miss another SVC event–check out our website at www.sauconvalleyconservancy.org.
